ESG in Colombia.

Increasing pressure from investors, clients, and regulators has increased global regulation for ESG management.

Colombia has defined an agenda that seeks to align the productive development model with sustainability.

Obligations:
Reduce 51% of its Greenhouse Gas emissions by the year 2030 involving all industries.
The climate action law will force companies to publicly disclose the management of their GHG emissions.
C.012 & C031 Securities issuing companies are required to report their ESG management as of 2024.

Financial Materiality Corporate Governance Management Type A must disclose with the TCFD and SASB standards.
In August 2023, the IFRS will publish the new IFRS ESG S1 and S2 standards. They are expected to be mandatory in 140 countries as are accounting NIFs
